Is this PC safe for online banking?Find out in a minute — free.

Windows 10 or 11 · How to run itFree, no sign-upRead-onlyNothing leaves your PC
Is someone on the phone asking you to install a program or "check your computer"? Hang up.
Real banks, Microsoft, and Apple never call and ask you to install remote-control software or move money to "keep it safe". Call your bank back using the number on the back of your card.
How it works
Three simple steps
A website can't look inside your PC, so the check runs on your PC as a small, read-only program. Then this site turns the results into a big, easy-to-read report, right in your browser.
-
Download and run the check
Click Check my PC. Open the zip, then right-click
SafeToBankCheck.ps1and choose Run with PowerShell. -
Wait about a minute
It looks at 12 settings and changes nothing. When it's done, it saves
SafeToBank-Results.jsonon your Desktop. -

Questions
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no trial, no ads. It's a free tool from Adkins Technologies.
Does it work on a Mac, iPhone, or Android?
The check itself is for Windows 10 and 11 PCs. You can open this site and the sample reports on any device.
Do I need to be an administrator?
No. A few items (Secure Boot, the TPM chip, and full virus history) say "needs admin" unless you run PowerShell as administrator. That is normal and not a problem.
It said "Do not bank". What now?
Don't bank on that PC yet. Your report lists each red item with simple steps to fix it. If a remote-control program is running and someone is on the phone with you, hang up first. If you're unsure, ask someone you trust, or call your bank using the number on the back of your card.
Where is my results file?
On your Desktop, named SafeToBank-Results.json. A dated copy is also kept in C:\ProgramData\AdkinsTech\Logs, along with a text report (ending in -Report.txt) that the report page can read too.
Can it promise my PC is virus-free?
No check can promise that. It looks for the common problems and scam tricks that matter most for online banking.
